The Writers at Barnard reading series begins the 2011-12 year with a Women Poets at Barnard presentation of three poets reading from their work.

ChuilleanainEiléan Ní Chuilleanáin is a major poet of her generation and the foremost female poet now writing in Ireland. She is the author of more than six volumes of poetry, including her Selected Poems (2009) and The Sun-fish (2010).


Deborah LandauDeborah Landau is the author of The Last Usable Hour, a Lannan Literary Selection published by Copper Canyon Press, and Orchidelirium, which won the Anhinga Prize for Poetry.


Laura NewbernLaura Newbern is the author of Love and the Eye, selected by Claudia Rankine as the winner of the 2010 Kore Press First Book Award. &nShe is also a recipient of a 2010 Writer’s Award from the Rona Jaffe Foundation
