2020 Winners of Barnard English Department Student Prizes
Overview
Each year, the English Department awards named prizes to a few English majors in recognition of their scholarship and accomplishments. The prizes requiring writing submissions are open to those not majoring in English as well.
2020 College-wide Awards
THE ALPHA ZETA CLUB GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
For promise of distinction in the pursuit of higher degrees. Particularly for students entering the professions.

GEORGE WELWOOD MURRAY GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP
For promise of distinction in graduate study in the humanities and/or the social sciences.
Winner: Alexandra Gluckman
THE SCHWIMMER PRIZE
For an outstanding graduating senior in the humanities who exemplifies a scholarly commitment to the humanist tradition
