Her writing has appeared in publications including Conjunctions, The Paris Review, and The New York Times. She was awarded the 2018 Plimpton Prize for Fiction and a 2019 O. Henry Prize. Her first novel The Parisian (2019) won a Palestine Book Award, the Sue Kaufman Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, a Betty Trask Award from the Society of Authors in the UK. She was a National Book Foundation '5 Under 35' Honoree, and has received literary fellowships from MacDowell, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Lannan Foundation. In 2023, she was selected as one of the Granta 'Best of Young British Novelists'.   Enter Ghost (published in 2023) is her second novel, following actress Sonia Naseer as she returns to Palestine after years and takes a role in a West Bank production of Hamlet. A stunning rendering of present-day Palestine, Enter Ghost is a story of diaspora, displacement, and the connection to be found in family and shared resistance. 75 free copies of Enter Ghost are available for pickup in the English Department Office, Barnard 417, and will also be available at the event. Please RSVP here and join us at Sulzberger Parlor (located on the third floor of Barnard Hall) on Wednesday, November 13 from 7pm-9pm for a wide-ranging, student-led literary discussion with the author. Hot chocolate and homemade cookies will be served! Photo credit: Kathy Coulter Sulzberger Parlor (third floor, Barnard Hall) Barnard College barnard-admin@digitalpulp.com America/New_York public
