We will be hosting this event in the James Room, on Thursday, December 1st, at 7:00 pm with special introductions from Barnard students. Elif Batuman’s first novel, The Idiot, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and for the Women’s Prize. The sequel, Either/Or, was published in 2022. She has been a staff writer at New Yorker since 2010. Liana Finck‘s work appears frequently in the New Yorker and elsewhere. Her fourth graphic novel, Let There Be Light, was published in April. Weike Wang is the author of CHEMISTRY (Knopf 2017) and JOAN IS OKAY (Random House 2022). She is the recipient of the 2018 Pen Hemingway, a Whiting award and a National Book Foundation 5 under 35. Her work has appeared in Ploughshares and The New Yorker, among other publications. She is in the 2019 Best American Short Stories and O. Henry Prizes. She earned her MFA from Boston University and her other degrees from Harvard.
