Charlotte’s experience teaching and conducting workshops in narrative medicine and creative writing, to clinical and lay audiences, spans a broad range of medical and caregiving institutions including universities, medical schools, hospitals, nursing homes, mental health facilities and synagogues. She teaches the Introduction to Narrative Medicine seminar at Barnard College, Columbia University, and has taught in Columbia’s MS in Narrative Medicine program as well as being in charge of the program's Clinical Practicum Placement. Charlotte has conducted narrative medicine workshops for Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons, Geriatric and Palliative Care Fellows at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Hadassah and Shaare Tzedek hospitals in Israel, as well as other clinical care-based facilities in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. She offers public education lectures and workshops on narrative healing in clinical and nonclinical settings in the Tri-state area. Author of a forthcoming memoir and The Girl Pages: A Handbook of Resources for Strong, Confident, Creative Girls (Hyperion).
