Sarah Schwartz

Sarah Schwartz works at the intersection of modernist, gender & sexuality, and postcolonial studies. Her doctoral research in this area won multiple awards including the Paul Monette-Roger Horowitz Dissertation Prize presented by CLAGS. She has forthcoming pieces on Virginia Woolf and on a colonial-era Indian sexological journal. Sarah teaches literature and writing at Queens College. She has previously taught communications at the University of Technology, Sydney and served as a consultant on writing curriculum at City College of New York and Guttman Community College. In addition to a Ph.D. in English, Sarah holds a B.F.A. and M.A. in Directing and has presented live writing, poetry, and theatre in the U.S., South Africa, and Australia.
